Nairobi – Amboseli – Tsavo & Taita Hills Game Sanctuary – Kenya Coast

Depart Nairobi drop off at Kenya Beach resorts

This 6 day safari tour spends 2 nights at the Amboseli national park-at the floor of Mount Kilimanjaro with game viewing drives & views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro peaks (weather permitting).

Tour proceeds to the scenic Tsavo West national park where we may visit the Rhino sanctuary in search of the endangered Rhino species.

It is here at the Tsavo West that we also visit the Mzima springs-a source of underground water springs where we view hippos, crocodiles and exotic birds.

Tsavo west is also a scenic marvel with its awesome landscape.

Safari tour then proceeds to the Wildlife sanctuaries of Taita hills or Lumo where we view more game in human protected wildlife areas.

We shall lastly explore the Tsavo East – the land of the legendary man eaters & red colored elephants.

Safari accommodation is offered in a choice of economy, standard or luxury safari lodges and tented camps.

Transport is provided in customized pop up top minivans.

Pop up top 4 x 4 Land Cruiser jeep upgrade is possible at an extra cost.

• Tour is private per booking in own tour vehicle & dedicated driver / guide-not a group sharing tour

• Tour is flexible and can be modified to suit better your preferences.

• During stay at Sarova saltlick lodge-tour visits Taita hills sanctuary instead of Tsavo West (Taita hills is private section of Tsavo west)

• During stay at Lions Bluff-tour visits Lumo / Taita hills sanctuaries

• Safari finish at the Kenya coast beach resorts between 4.30PM -6.00PM depending on location

• In case of choice of Ziwani voyager camp-there shall be an evening/night game viewing drive

• Driving times during safari are estimates and can vary due to narrow Kenyan roads,traffic density and state of road

• For Kenya coast beach drop off, we shall use the standard gauge train option to Mombasa thus reducing on driving time, avoid the notorious traffic jam and for your better all round scenery and maybe wildlife views from elevated train.

• Pick up from Mombasa railway station and transfer to your Mombasa beach / hotel accommodation is included.

• You may also choose to use vehicle transfer for your Mombasa – beach drop off.

       Nairobi – Amboseli National Park: (250 km – approx. 3-4 Hrs drive)

Day Plan/Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Day 1:-

0700hrs: Depart from your Nairobi city hotel.
The morning road journey is partly via the Nairobi- Mombasa highway.

Drive via open Africa with expansive savannah plains dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai tribes men and their cattle.

An afternoon game viewing drive is scheduled for the late afternoon when animals are at their most active.
Weather permitting the mount Kilimanjaro will emerge from the clouds and the sights of the snow peaked peaks will be awesome.

Overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp accommodation option.

Day 2:-

     Amboseli National Park

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Today is a day of game viewing drives, scenery viewing, relaxation.

Day spent at the Amboseli with maximum game viewing drives spotting game and wallowing in the scenery.
Your safari lodge/ tented camp shall also provide relaxation and optional activities in between.

Your driver guide and safari vehicle are at your disposal for game viewing purposes.

Day 3:-

Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park: (100km – Approx. 2 Hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning game viewing drives at the Amboseli with great chances of the morning Mount Kilimanjaro views.

We shall proceed to the Tsavo West National park with game viewing drives en-route.

Afternoon game viewing drives with a visit to the rhino sanctuary.

You shall spot elephant, giraffe and other game on your game drives.
The Tsavo west national park’s terrain is hilly and scenery dramatic making the sense of adventure more pronounced.

Overnight at your Tsavo west safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 4:-

     Tsavo West – Taita Hills

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Game viewing drives at the Tsavo West with a visit to the Mzima springs.
We proceed to the scenic Taita Hill Game Sanctuary for more game viewing drives in search of Elephant, Lion, Impala, Buffalo, Hertebeest, Cheetah, Waterbuck, Thomsons Gazelle, Dik Dik, Lesser Kudu, Giraffe…

The Taita hills and Lumo sanctuaries are privately and community managed

Overnight at your safari lodge at Taita Hills Game Sanctuary

Day 5:-

     Taita Hills – Tsavo East (Appr 50Kms – 1.5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning game viewing drive at Taital Hills as you exit the sanctuary.

Proceed to Tsavo East National Park for more game viewing drives concentrating on the Aruba dam and Kanderi swamp areas of the park where higher number of game are bound to be spotted.

We shall traverse the savannah plains of the Tsavo East in search of game.

Overnight at your Tsavo East safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 6:-

     Tsavo East – Mombasa – Kenya Coast (By train or road )

Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch

Early morning game viewing drives in search of game.

Extra game viewing drive after breakfast as you exit the Tsavo East.

Later proceed to Voi train station (Next to Tsavo East) where you shall board the standard gauge Nairobi-Mombasa Train(Madaraka Express).

Approximately 11:45am arrive at the train station.

12:33am: Depart for Mombasa on the Madaraka Express Train with elevated country views through parts of Tsavo East national parks.

14:18pm: Arrive Mombasa train station where you shall be met by your transfer vehicle and driver.

Transfer to your beach hotel in Mombasa, Kilifi, Diani, Watamu or Malindi.

You may transfer to your beach resort by car if you prefer.
