Cross border Kenya & Tanzania safari tour visiting the national parks & game reserves of East Africa.

The 10 nights / 11 days safari starts from Nairobi -Kenya.

Safari can be customized to start from Arusha in Tanzania depending on your inbound flights.

Safari starts with a visit of Lake Manyara National Park where we may view the famous tree climbing lions and reach bird life.

Safari proceeds to visit the Ngorongoro Crater with magnificent views from the crater and rewarding game viewing drives at the floor of the Crater.

The safari further takes in the expansive Serengeti Game Reserve as it proceeds across the Kenya / Tanzania border into Masai Mara.

From the Masai Mara safari proceeds to the Great Rift Valley and visits Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha.

Safari continues to the Amboseli National Park at the floor of Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s tallest) and then progresses on to the scenic Tsavo West National Park which is the last destination of this safari tour.

11 Day Kenya & Tanzania Safari Tour

   Day 1:Nairobi Arusha- Lake Manyara (360 km, Appr. 6 hrs with stops)

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

0730hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi airport

Proceed on the cross border drive into Tanzania.

There shall be a stop for immigration formalities at the Namanga (Kenya / Tanzania) border town.

The scenic drive is via Masai country,distinct climatic zones and social regions.

Lunch shall be at the Arusha town of Tanzania.

Proceed to the Lake Manyara for game viewing in search of the famous tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos.

The Lake Manyara national park is small and scenic

Overnight at your Lake Manyara safari lodge or tented camp.

   Day 2:Lake Manyara- Ngorongoro Crater

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We depart Lake Manyara with picnic lunches for the Ngorongoro crater

Later descend (670M) into the floors of the crater in 4 wheel cruisers.

It shall be a full day of unsurpassed game viewing with only a lunch break at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site.

Game volume and variety is left to your imagination.

Later ascend to the crater rim for awesome sunset views.

Overnight at your Ngorongoro crater lodge or tented camp.

 DAY 3:Ngorongoro – Serengeti

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Awesome sunrise views from the crater rim

Leave the Ngorongoro after and proceed to the Olduvai Gorge.

Here, we visit various sites of the gorge to see where the remains of pre-historic man were discovered.

Later proceed to the vast Serengeti plains with afternoon game viewing

Overnight at your Serengeti safari lodge or tented camp.

 DAY 4:Serengeti Game Reserve

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day spent at the Serengeti on game viewing drives.

Serengeti is large, the variety and concentration of game is mind boggling

This we encounter as we traverse the reserve on rewarding game viewing drives.

Overnight at your Serengeti safari lodge or tented camp.

 DAY 5: Serengeti- Masai Mara game reserve( 370 kms: 6-7 hrs with stops)

Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner.

Depart Serengeti with game viewing en-route.

Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve via the isebania Tanzania / Kenya border town..

The Mara shares the same ecosystem with the Serengeti game reserve.

Ideally it is the smaller extension of the Serengeti.

It is well located for game viewing drives together with optional activities including balloon safari excursions and guided nature / bird walks

Afternoon game viewing drive at the Masai Mara

Overnight at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.

 DAY 6:Masai Mara game reserve.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today shall be spent at the Masai Mara game reserve on a full day of game viewing drives.

Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river with views of hippos and crocodiles
Game viewing drives are dictated on by the location and concentration of animals at specific times.
The Mara hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq km than any other game reserve in East Africa
Simply stated the Mara is a one stop shop for game viewing activities in Kenya.

Overnight shall be at your Masai Mara safari lodge / tented camp.

 DAY 7:Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru: 320 kms: 5-6 hours

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

A short morning Game drive today, time permitting.

Later proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park.

There Shall be stops at scenic points along the route.

Afternoon Game viewing drive.

Overnight at Lake Nakuru Safari lodge / Tented camp.

Zebra, Black and white rhino, over 550 diferent plant and tree species, view points of Lion Hill, Baboon Cliff and Out Of Africa.

 DAY 8:Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha: 80 kms: 1-1.5 Hrs.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Morning bird and game viewing drives around the Lake Nakuru.

After breakfast proceed to Lake Naivasha.

Afternoon boat ride at lake Naivasha, where you view exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this fresh water lake.

Overnight at your lake Naivasha lodge/resort / tented camp.

Boat ride, bird watching, nature walks, a visit to Hell’s gate – optional at a cost..

 DAY 9:Lake Naivasha – Amboseli: 350 km. 5-6 Hrs

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

A long and easy drive to the Amboseli awaits you today.

Depart Lake Naivasha after late breakfast for the Amboseli.

There shall be stops to view the scenic Rift valley escarpment along the Nakuru Nairobi highway.
Lunch stop at the Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi.
Short game viewing drive with possible views of the Mount Kilimanjaro peaks.(Weather permitting)

Overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge or tented camp.

Leopard,Elephant Buffalo,Giraffe,Zebra, Lion,Plain game, crocodile, Mongoose, Hyrax, Lesser Kudu, prolific birdlife featuring 600 species.

 DAY 10:Amboseli – Tsavo west: 100 km: 2 Hrs

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Short morning game viewing drive is scheduled at the Amboseli.

Weather permitting, there shall be awesome views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow capped peaks.

The Amboseli is open and relatively small.

Game viewing drives are concentrated and wildlife easy to spot.

Mount Kilimanjaro provides wonderful back grounds for awesome photography moments.

Later proceed to the Tsavo West National Park.

The Tsavo west is hilly and craggy with scenic terrain

Overnight shall be at your Tsavo west safari lodge or tented camp.

Rhino,Leopard,Wild dogs,Buffalo Elephant,Giraffe,Zebra, Lion,Mongoose,Hyrax,Lesser Kudu,Mzima springs,underwater hippo and fish watching with prolific birdlife.

 DAY 11:Tsavo West – Nairobi or Kenya coast beaches.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

Game viewing drive at the Tsavo west national park.

You shall have your packed lunch boxes as you head to the Mzima springs where you view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and bird life.

Later depart Tsavo west for Nairobi or the Kenya coast.

Drop off at your Nairobi hotel, Jomo Kenyatta airport or the Mombasa,Diani, Watamu & Malindi beach resorts
